As Unified Communications (UC) moves to the cloud as UC-as-a-Service (UCaaS), the delivery model between the user and the service will become much more complex and difficult to manage. Today’s typical on-premise enterprise deployments of UC and other real-time media applications has significant complexity to deploy and manage the real-time workloads and time critical networking requirements. Most on-premise real-time media deployments today experience intermittent session quality and reliability issues. Now amplify the complexity as the real-time applications migrate to the cloud using some intermediary set of networks, managed by multiple different providers to get to the real-time application services.
In this webinar listen to industry leaders address the above issues by applying Software Defined Networks (SDN) concepts for its simple philosophy of reducing complexity thru software abstraction and automation. Jim Burton co-founder and leading analyst for Unified Communications Strategies will moderate five cutting edge thought leaders in how to make real-time media applications work better delivered from the cloud. Listen to how the IMTC RTM-SDN Activity Group is working on a ground breaking Real-Time Media Cloud Service using SDN use case and information model specification to automate and simplify UC Cloud and other Real-Time Media based deployments by the end of the year. This new IMTC specification will dramatically simplify and redefine how businesses embrace UCaaS and other real-time applications.
Jim Burton – Co-founder of CT Link LLC, UCStrategies and UC Expert
Apart from his regular industry contributions to the above, Jim is also founder and CEO of CT Link, LLC. Burton founded the consulting firm in 1989 to help clients in the converging voice, data and networking industries with strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and distribution issues.
