Media Processing Activity Group

We cooperate with the Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) that focus on Media Coding standards including the ITU-T, ETSI, 3GPP, and the ISO/IEC JTC1 organizations. The role of the activity group is standardization support. In case the SDOs are unable to deliver the required standards, the activity group will define those standards.

What We Do

We define various coding requirements for SDOs including speech, audio, video and still picture. These requirements are taken into consideration by the standards bodies.

We also serve as a bridge between patent holders and users. As Media Processing AG – we are committed to promote fair licensing of SDO standard based Media Codecs.

IMTC forged professional alliances with several standards development organizations. Learn more
