MEF Announces Finalists for 2017 Awards to be Unveiled at MEF17
40 Prestigious Awards Recognize Service, Application, Technology, and Professional Excellence
Orlando, FL, 24 October 2017 – MEF, the driving force enabling agile, assured, and orchestrated services, today announced Finalists for the MEF 2017 Awards, which recognize service, application, technology, and professional excellence and innovation. MEF’s Awards program is the largest in the world focused on emerging dynamic network services powered by LSO (Lifecycle Service Orchestration), NFV, SDN, and Carrier Ethernet.
Award Winners will be revealed on Tuesday, 14 November at the MEF17 (www.MEF17.com) global networking event, to be held 13-16 November in Orlando, Florida at the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort. The judging panel for the MEF Awards was comprised of 13 global and regional senior analysts from ATLANTIC-ACM, Battle Green Research, Frost & Sullivan, Global Data, IHS Markit, Metanoia, Ovum, and Vertical Systems, in addition to independent judges.
Service Provider Awards Finalists recognize leadership in the delivery of global, regional, retail, and wholesale Carrier Ethernet and dynamic services, as well as excellence in network and service innovation, SD-WAN managed services, LSO strategy, and marketing.

The Proof of Concept Award recognizes the MEF17 Proof of Concept Showcase demonstration that best showcases the ability to deliver agile, assured, and orchestrated services over automated, virtualized, and interconnected networks. Twenty-five companies in 11 participant groups have been selected to participate in this year’s PoC Showcase. The PoC Winner will be announced during the MEF17 evening reception on Wednesday, 15 November.
The Professional Awards recognize individuals who exhibited professional excellence and advanced the work of MEF and the development of Third Network solutions. The three Awards in these categories include Industry Executive of the Year, MEF Distinguished Fellow and the MEF Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional (MEF-CECP) of the Year. Professional Award Winners also will be announced at MEF17.
