MEF18’s Award-Winning Proof of Concept Demonstrations Accelerate Transition to Assured Services Across Automated Networks


Teams involving 20 companies received prestigious PoC Awards for innovations aligned with the MEF 3.0 transformational global services framework

Los Angeles, 1 November 2018 – MEF is pleased to recognize 20 service and technology companies as Proof of Concept (PoC) Award winners at the MEF18 event held this week in Los Angeles. More than 50 companies in 18 groups participated in MEF18 PoC demonstrations that showcased the ability to orchestrate dynamic and assured services across automated, virtualized, and interconnected networks in accordance with the MEF 3.0 framework.

2018 Proof of Concept Award Winners include the following:

MEF 3.0 Implementation Project 2018 Award
Fulfillment and Activation of an Intercontinental MEF 3.0 Service Spanning Four Operators. Tata Communications, Sparkle, Equinix, Liquid Telecom, ECI, Amartus, and Spirent.

MEF18 Proof of Concept Gold Award
Multi-Domain, Application-Defined Global Interconnection Orchestration. AT&T, Equinix, and Ciena.

MEF18 Proof of Concept Silver Award
MEF 3.0 LSO Federated Inter-carrier Data-on-demand Services Through Automated Discovery and Blockchain Settlement. PCCW Global, Sparkle, Tata Communications, SingTel, CBCcom, Infonas, Liquid Telecom, Clear, and Cataworx.

MEF18 Proof of Concept Bronze Award
Blade Runner – Orchestrated Multi-domain Augmented Reality. Vodafone, Verizon, EXFO, Fortinet, and CENX/Ericsson.

The judging panel for the MEF PoC Awards comprised senior analysts from ACG Research, ATLANTIC-ACM, Frost & Sullivan, Futuriom, IHS Markit, Ovum, and Vertical Systems Research.
