Abstract:

NOTE: THIS STANDARD HAS BEEN SUPERSEDED.

This document uses the service attributes and parameters that are defined in the MEF Technical Specification “Ethernet Services Attributes Phase 2” and applies them to create different Ethernet services. This document defines three generic service constructs called Ethernet Service types and specifies their associated service attributes and parameters used to create Point-to-Point, Multipoint-to-Multipoint, and Rooted-Multipoint Ethernet services. This document also defines the requirements for several Ethernet services that use these generic Ethernet Service types. In addition, an informative appendix is provided showing examples of some of the defined services. This document supersedes and replaces MEF 6, Ethernet Services Definitions – Phase 1.
