Today’s non-standardized VNF licensing environment is holding back the rapid introduction of innovative new VNF products into the telecom environment and is a barrier to entry for many smaller VNF vendors. This problem will become increasingly acute with the growing deployment of SD-WAN managed services, 5G, and Edge Compute by CSPs.
